Chapter 91

Alpha Waylen's POV

I stood by the window, watching as the first rays of the morning sun peeked through the horizon. My night had been a restless one. All I could think of was Amelia, and then the balant advances of Alpha chad.

I had barely managed to catch a wink of sleep, tossing and turning as what happened with Amelia kept replaying in my head.

The memory of Amelia's in my chambers, the warmth of her hand in mine, and the almost electrifying moment when our lips were mere inches apart, still played and replayed.

I could still feel the pull, the undeniable connection between us. But the way she had pulled away, the uncertainty in her eyes, had left me feeling like I was a fool for even trying.

I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair that was partly kept, as an Alpha, I was expected to be in control at all times, but it seemed like I wasn't. That I was vulnerable to the decisions of others, I couldn't let this happen.
