Chapter Nine

Amelia's pov.

“Rules?” I asked with a pale face, wondering what he had in mind. There was no doubt the rules were Important because he seemed serious about it.

“Yes, rules.” He paused, taking in a deep breath before continuing with his words. “I know you don't know me, but then maybe I can explain better. I am Alpha Kayden, your new husband, and the ruler of this great pack you know of.”

His explanation was quite simple, not like anything I thought about the whole thing.

Kayden kept quiet for a while. He then stared at me, but sighed.

“I know you're scared. Yes, you should be because I don't give a damn what you feel about me. All I know is I'm a feared, and well respected alpha, do you understand?”

He asked, and without thinking I nodded, trying to push away the tears from my eyes.

This was the life my step-dad put me in, all because he believed I was the cause of my mother's death.
