I stood before Rylands’ intimidating gaze. I could feel his eyes hovering around me like he wanted to see the inside of my soul. His spacious office was all dark coloured and his woody scented cologne filled the whole room. It was a bit relaxing except for his stares that made me feel so nervous and the unkneering quietness.I kept my head face down so as not to stare into his soulless eyes.“Who are you?” He suddenly asks, breaking the Silence between us.“Hmm…”“You have to be fucking truthful or I will torture you till you beg to die.” he sounded so intimidating tho his voice was calm.I gulped in fear at the thought of the wicked things he would do to me. My fingers kept trembling by my side. My brain was telling me to run while me deets just glued to the ground not able to move itself.“Answer me!” he shouted impatiently stamping his fist on patiently.“I'm Jasmine, a common village girl.” I say stuttering“I’ll pull your fingers out one by one if you dare lie to me. There is no
“What just happened?” Kai asked, confused running his hands through his hair. He saw Ryland was in danger from the CCTV he had connected round the house to keep watch of him whenever he seemed to be bizarre.“Nothing.” Ryland replies nonchalantly. His eyes still gazed at the door Jasmine had run out from. “You can’t tell me anything, the whole kitchen is shattered with broken bottles and the cellar seems completely empty and you were kiss-” he cuts his word short and takes a deep breath not to get so mad.“You were in near danger, Ryland, you would have hurt her,” he says, his voice calming down a bit.“Well I didn't, she tamed me.” he says “Well good for you, but we still aren't sure who she is or where she came from.” “You can keep figuring that out. That's your work from now on, bring reports back to me.” Ryland orders him to get up from his spot and walks out the same door Jasmine has passed through.***I couldn't feel more embarrassed at what I had done and seeing Kai right t
“The Caribbean Pack seems to be growing stronger, they are making alliances with different packs with small numbers so they can lay an attack. We have to get more soldiers to grow our pack.” Kai explains but gets mad when the person who he seems to be talking to isn’t responding.“Ryland for fuck sake please pay attention.” his voice was a bit mad. Ryland looks at him and smirks. “Being an alpha comes with so many responsibilities, Kai, and I'm tired of them. You are capable enough of handling the whole pack situation and in a matter of time I’ll be no more.”“Fuck that Ryland!” Kai growls a hint of anger displayed in his eyes. “Let it all out Kai, it's just an emotion.” Ryland says taunting him “You know Kai if you keep up like this, you would never be the leader you want to truly be. You would always remain a Second. A mere Beta and that's why your mate rejected you, to flee with some scum dude." He hadn't finished his statement when Kai suddenly attacked him, pinning him against
Jasmine walked down the grand staircase that served as a route to the ground floor and the up floors. There were three floors in the building and she had only seen two. The third floor and the first floor. She walked down the stairs leading to the second floor. As expected, it was even more breathtaking than the first floor. There was a large open space. The gray curtains were tied back to let the sunshine pierce through the windows. There was a gold-looking, brass candle bar which hung in each corner of the wall. They each held three candles. She couldn’t help but commend Ryland’s good taste in fashion. There were two doors on the far wall and she kind of wondered where they led to. She imagined them to be the rooms where Ryland did some of his dirty jobs. He wasn’t a saint either way, so he probably had something up his sleeve. The room was so big that a large ball could be held in it. But again she was curious if Ryland lived alone in such a place. Did Ryland have family members
Ryland stood at his window, staring out of it as he contemplated. What had gotten into him? He wasn't one to mistreat a lady. He was always gentle towards them or ignored them completely. But not for Jasmine. He had gotten used to her scent and could sense it lingering around him. When Jasmine had licked her lips it had triggered his need to sex her that very moment. Unfortunately, he had scared her instead. He felt bad, but that's what needed to be. He couldn't bear the thought of hurting her. She was delicate. Too delicate. She was beautiful, she didn't seem so afraid of him from the look in her eyes. He wanted her, a taste of her body and blood. He wanted to mark her right away. He wanted to claim her as his, but she didn't seem fit. She couldn't save him. She wasn't the one, and he might end up hurting her. There was probably a mistake by the moon goddess. He couldn't have her. She was very good. Too kind. He wouldn't take her. He would take someone else if that was his only
RylandWhat was she doing to me? I couldn't bring myself to sleep with any other woman and I couldn't even bring myself to touch her without my demon trying to harm her.Would she be able to save me or be my demise? I wasn't even sure. She seemed weak, she didn't show any proof of strength. Is she hiding something from me? Or was the moon goddess mistaken?I dragged her into the front seat of my black sports car, banging on the door behind me and jumped into the driver's seat.I stamped my foot on the accelerator and zoomed off. I was going at two forty meters per hour. The fastest I have ever driven. My life wasn’t at risk. A mere car crash wouldn’t end my life. I have tried a million times and always survived it. I wasn't driving to kill myself nor her. I wanted to know if she was hiding her true self from me.The witches said only my true mate would save me, only her possess the powers. But here is my mate but with no powers.I watched her from my peripheral vision. She seemed terri
Jasmine watched as the enforcers trained. Standing in their formation with their partners. They were fighting each other, practicing their techniques and learning from the other. She admired their form. They were all shirtless. The muscles in their back contorted with each lunge, each step, every exertion of their strength. A satisfactory smile played on her lips. She was about to look away when she saw a particularly large figure on the periphery. Just the one person she didn't want to see around her. Ryland. He was taller, broader, stronger, angrier than the rest. She could see the sweat trail down his cheek bones and the contour of his back. Her fist clenched. Sure he looked good, but that was the least thing on her mind. She rolled her eyes when his dark hostile eyes met hers. She turned away not wanting to stand his presence. “Have you eaten?”She jumped in fear, placing her hands over her heart as she looked towards him. How did he just appear here?“I-I was about to.” she sai
I opened my eyes when I didn't feel any touch. I heard grunts and kicking coming from the other end. I ran towards Danielle to help her.She was bleeding so badly and she seemed to have passed out. Fear creeped up my body.“Please Danielle,” I whispered. Tears flowing down my eyes. “Ryland-” I wasn't sure why I had mentioned his name but I did. In the blink of an eye, I heard a loud growl coming towards me. I turned to see who it was. Just the exact person my soul yearned for, he looked really angry, his dark eyes were fiery now.“Please Ryland, save her.” I muttered. “Kai, take them home safely.” his voice stoic and filled with rage.He headed towards where the fights were coming from. Kai picked Danielle up in his arms and helped me stand up.My hands and clothes were stained with blood and dirt. I limped towards the car parked right in front of the woods.I was trembling, my mind was messy at the moment.“Will she be okay?” I stuttered.“Just a mild concussion. The doctor is o
