The new lead.

Leo's POV

If before the thought of her was difficult to get out of my head, now it was downright impossible. The interaction, if it could even be called such, was repetitive in my head, making me believe that yes, I had met her before.

Why else would I look at her to see instant fear?

Granted, perhaps I was giving myself too much credit and maybe none of my thoughts were actually a reality, but I couldn't help it as the image of her, however sudden, was stuck in my head.

It took two more days for me to cave. Free of urgent work, I was strangely filled with the urge to go back.

By the time I got home, the sun had already begun to dawn. It was probably time for dinner, I thought to myself. No doubt Sierra was waiting there and when I came in, she was going to give me a snarky reaction.

True to my thoughts, I met Sierra in the dining room. Unlike what I had expected however, she hadn't noticed me the moment I walked in. She looked pensive, waiting for either something or someone.
