Chapter Forty-Eight

Olivia's POV

I thought I cleaned up nicely.

I looked at him and then lowered my gaze to the floor.

" I'm... I" I paused and sniffed.

" I'm sorry." I finally added, even though it made no sense.

" I just miss my father."

He didn't say a word for a while and it made me wonder what he could probably be thinking.

" Why are you blocking me out from your thoughts?" He suddenly asked still backing me.

I heard a boisterous bang in my head as the conniption gripped me.

Oh, No. How did he figure that out?

He turned and faced me, looking directly into my eyes.

"What are you trying to hide from me?" He asked and my lips trembled helplessly, but couldn't say a word.

I still tried my best not to think about it so he doesn't get to read my mind.

Goddess, please help me.

If he finds out I tried to poison him, I'd be dead.

He stared at me for a while, but I don't know what happened suddenly. He turned around and walked away.
