Chapter 43 – Date night

Landry’s POV

Landry could hardly get work done the day after he had that conversation with Bernice.

She’s willing to give him a try.

That meant he can take her on a proper date and try to gain her heart.

He spent most of the night planning the perfect evening for the two of them to share. Of course, he needed to be careful because that assassin was still out there. Not that Bernice couldn’t handle her own, but still. Landry wouldn’t want to put her in the eyes of danger.

If he were to take her into the city, he needs to make sure he has the proper guards with him. He asked his head gamma and some other soldiers to accompany them into town.

He was only half expecting Bernice to turn him down for the evening; it might be too much too soon. Then again, she already agreed to give it a try.
