Chapter Twelve
"Fuck!" I cursed under my breath and saw Grace panicking beside him. He stopped anyone that was trying to help him and walked away from the crowd that had gathered to witnesses the commotion.
"I think I should go help him. I'll be right back, Dan." I rushed out, picking the ends of my dress to walk faster.
"Sure. I'll be fine and remember what I told, Lucy." He called out to me as I walked towards Grace. Once I reached the dinning area, I saw her standing with a worried look on her face.
"What the hell happened and where did he even go?" I asked, completely unaware of what went down between them.
"I don't know, Lu. We were drinking and just talking. Then, I got a call and while I was busy on my phone, I heard a noise and that's when I turned around to find him with broken glass and his hands were all bleeding..." She started to sob and I rolled my eyes at her silly behavior.

Once I was back home from shopping, it was around 3 noon. I was so damn tired and decided to take a short nap before the date. The next couple of days were so much fun that I always showed up late for work.
