Bella’s Pov

The constant grumble of my stomach had Lucas’s gaze turning deadly. I couldn’t deny that he was angry because he had yet to look away from me which had me feeling flushed.

He had went from occasionally glancing at me from time to time to not looking away once. “I didn’t do anything wrong, Danny did.” I mumbled in defiance as I looked back at the door.

Danny nor the technician had came back which was refreshing and horrifying at the same time. I was scared that he was out preparing to erase my memories again.

“You can’t trust Danny.” I stated as I looked back at him. I knew this was the only time I could talk to him and since he had no choice but to listen to me it was best that I warned him before they came back.

“If that alarm had not went off they wouldn’t have woken you up.” I stated confidently not getting the reaction out of him that I wanted. He was just staring at me with a blank face that had me feeling frustrated.
