His arm was wrapped around me and his soft snores as he slept brought a weird sense of comfort to me that I never knew I needed. For over a year I slept alone in our queen size bed. I would always stay awake for hours listening to the howling of the wind at night or the way the window flaps would bang against our bedroom window.
