Truly belonged

Bethany’s Pov

I smiled as Adams sleep peacefully, loving how warm he was. His arm was wrapped around me and his soft snores as he slept brought a weird sense of comfort to me that I never knew I needed.

For over a year I slept alone in our queen size bed. I would always stay awake for hours listening to the howling of the wind at night or the way the window flaps would bang against our bedroom window.

I would stay outside for as long as I could so I would be able to have a little peace. Peace I didn’t realize would come if I just had my husband sleep next to me.

It was like as soon as he wrapped his arms around me all the weird noise’s disappeared and in return came the best sleep I’ve had since I came home.

A knock on the door told me that our morning milk and fresh eggs had just arrived. Another knock followed when I didn’t answer causing me to grumble as I moved Adams arm from around my waist.
