LONDON, ENGLAND: ISABELLA’S POV

“Dimitri has not signed the contract yet. There will be no partying until he has done so, and I do hope that he does not.” I told them, and dropped unto my bed.

“Huh, wait, so it’s not a joke.” Jasper spoke up, and I groaned loudly in response.

I really wished it was just that, a joke, but it wasn’t. My parents had literally put an entire institution on my head. One I wasn’t sure I could carry without losing my balance and falling.

I politely told my friends that I needed some time to think, and they left my room one after the other. Edward however stayed behind, and turned to me.

I sat up to look at him, his expression was unreadable. He didn’t like this, but even if I wasn’t getting married to Dimitri, he till didn’t have a chance with me.

“So this is it then, no turning back?” He enquired, not taking his eyes off me.

“My mum threatened to kill Laurent.” I whispered.

“Then let him die. Bella, your freedom and sanity is much more important.” He snapped
