Chapter 100: Snake

[3rd POV—Damon]

A little bit calmer than the last time, Damon settled on his black leather couch in his study inside his mansion. Staring at the half-empty bottle of whiskey perched on top of his desk while absent-mindedly tracing his finger on the rim of the glass he was holding.

Unlike his usual impeccable state, the tie around his neck hung loose. His coat was haphazardly thrown into the floor, his hair unruly and sticking up in all directions. The three first buttons of his shirt were undone, exposing the fine sweaty hairs littering his chest with the tips moistened with sweat.

He hasn’t changed his clothes since his little outburst of rage a while ago, even though Davien managed to talk him out. The wave of anger boiling him up inside didn’t abate.
