Chapter 9.1: The mighty Aiden's fear

On his way home, Jake stopped by the veterinary to see if the little kitten was alright and to buy some food and other necessary things for it before finally arriving in front of his house.

On the outside, he looked quite normal. He had a soft smile on his lips while looking down at the little Moonlight in his arms. He was holding the bag with the cat stuff and talking to the black kitten now and then in a gentle tone. What's more, Jake was truly very handsome. The picture of a handsome guy holding an adorable little kitten... needless to say, there were quite a few people who turned their heads to look at him while he was walking down the road.

However, subconsciously, Jake had started to scratch his wrists. He hadn't even noticed that he was doing it. Even the thoughts in his head were like faint ghosts who appeared to only whisper a few things in his ears before disappearing like their main goal was to slowly stir him up without him noticing.

The entire way back home, Jake was focus
