Chapter 22: Ethan abandoned Ula on the street, in the rain

After saying goodbye to the judge and his wife, Ethan immediately took Ula's hand and led her to the car. As the car had been driving a distance away from the judge's house, Ethan couldn't bear it any longer, and in a fit of anger, he abruptly brought the car to a stop on the side of the road. Ethan's sudden action startled Ula, who had been daydreaming, and she jumped in fright.

"What kind of driving was that? It was really dangerous just now. What if something serious had happened? I don't want to die young, and especially not alongside someone as despicable as you," Ula scolded, her anger palpable, as she was almost thrown forward if there were no seatbelts.

"Are you deliberately trying to make me look bad in front of the judge, huh?" Ignoring Ula's complaints, Ethan immediately confronted her with a harsh tone.

"What are you talking about?" Ula furrowed her brow in suspicion, completely unsure of what Ethan meant. But she sensed that Ethan was blaming her for something.
