Chapter 60

I did not wait for anyone to say anything else. I dashed to the front door and went to the garage before our visitors arrived, and as soon as I was in the driveway, a car drove inside.

Our driveway was wide, so I didn't need to pull over first to let them pass. I knew that car; it was Elyana's new red Mercedez. When I exited the gate, I breathed a sigh of relief. It made me think I was a fleeing criminal because the cops were already on the scene.

When I arrived at the restaurant, there were no signs of Quintin. I expected that already because I left home quite early and I remembered I didn't tell him what time he should come. While waiting for him, I took that time to think.

I thought of going to my condo that day. Elyana and her parents would surely stay the whole day there because they would be discussing Pretzel and Felix's wedding.
