57: Office Surprise

"Love, you haven't told me why you left home in the first place." Gavin said as I came out of the shower after our dinner with my parents. "To be honest, you haven't told me anything about your family."

I sat down in front of the vanity and was drying my hair as he lay in bed waiting for me to answer. I guess it's time for me to tell him the whole truth. I started putting on my skincare and started telling him my story.

"To be honest, tonight is the first time that I saw my parents act so lively and welcoming." I started.

"They weren't always like that?" He asked and I shook my head at him.

"Nope. Me and Zab grew up under their very judgemental and micromanaging environment while our parents were anywhere around us." I said to him, finishing up my routine and then coming to the bed and lying next to him.
