Justice is served

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN ( Harry's Mansion)

“What are you doing here Nicole? I thought I made it clear to you the last time that we are done." Harry said with a deadpan expression.

“Harry you really don't expect me to leave on that word now do you? I love you and I know I made a mistake but please just give me one more chance to make things right." Nicole begged but that didn't even change the deadpan expression on Harry's face. He walked to the bar joint, grabbing a bottle of champagne with two glasses.

He poured the champagne into the two glasses, handing one to Nicole.

“I told you I don't do love Nicole, we were having fun until you said those abominable words to me but that doesn't mean we shouldn't enjoy this evening." He said, raising his glass to her before taking a sip.

“So what I'm just a play thing to you? We've been together for a year and three months now Harry, don't you feel anything for me?"

“I don't feel anything aside my desire to enjoy this evening without having to put up with your oppressing complains. You know me well Nicole, I don't know why you're still forcing this on me. I never asked you to give yourself to me-" Harry trailed off as Nicole's palm landed on his cheek. She had slapped him, dropping the glass she held with her other hand.

“I was drunk Harry! You took advantage of my state and now you're pinning it on me?! I was f*cking innocent then!" Nicole yelled, balling her fist.

“Oh for goodness sake we were both drunk! But even after that you kept coming back to me and I remember telling you vividly that I don't do love." Harry said rubbing his red cheek.

Nicole was about saying something when someone rang the doorbell. Harry immediately rushed to the door as he didn't want to hear whatever it is Nicole was about spitting out. On reaching the door he sighed in relief as Charles waved at him.

“Seems like you've got company, I can just come back some other-"

“Nonsense, Nicole was about leaving, c'mon in." Harry cut him off giving Nicole the ‘you are dismissed look.' Nicole cleaned off her wet face, grabbing her bag. She smiled at Charles before leaving the house.

“Mind telling me what's up?" Charles said picking up the glass of champagne on the table.

“Nothing of importance but I must say your choice of replacement this time is quiet intriguing." Harry said while refilling Charles glass.

“If you're talking about Chloe then I'm certain she's made an impact on you."

“She reminds me of someone but if she doesn't watch her tongue then someone might cut it out one day." Harry said with a frown. “She seems to forget who's the boss and who's the employee."

“Well have fun with that one. At least I won't be getting you any new PA anytime soon." Charles said with a smirk. “Now back to Nicole, you do know she's in love with you right?"

“I don't do love.."

“You've been saying that for two years now Harry. Nicole is beautiful, she's kind, smart, loving and comes with the full package too. Men would do anything to be with a woman like her."

“If that's true why don't you go date her then. You seem to know her well." Harry said, standing from the couch.

“If I could I would but I'm occupied with someone else, however you my friend are the perfect man for her. I always thought you two would make a fine couple but your pride won't let you see reasons."

“Look Charles I know you're just looking out for me but don't ever bring this up again and I'm serious." Harry said leaving Charles in the living room. He would never bring himself to love again, not after what Gemila did to him. He would never be at the mercy of a woman especially Nicole. He might have made a mistake by having s*x with her that night and every other night they did it because that must have given her the wrong impression of him caring about her.

Charles on the other hand gladly finished the remaining Champagne while thinking of one person...Chloe Richardz.

HARLEY MEMORIAL GROUNDS

Chloe held two rose flowers on both hands while standing beside her family's grave.

The bodies couldn't be identified so they had to burry them all together with their names as to those present in the house that night. Gemila, Romero and father. They buried them next to her mother who died when she was little. She couldn't stop herself from crying each time she comes here.

“Mom, Dad it's me again. I know it's been two years but I can't seem to let go of this anger, of this hatred. I really wanna let go, I really want to move on but I feel like that's never going to happen until justice is served.

Gemita, I'm so sorry I let this happen to you. I'm so sorry I wasn't there that night. It should've been me that day not you, not you." Gemila cried her heart out as she recalled the video tape.

“I promise you, I won't rest until Harry Robinson pays for what he's done to us. I will avenge you Gemila. Just know that I love you very much." She slowly placed the roses on the grave, using her coat to clean her face.

She usually comes her every morning and now that she had a job, she had to come earlier so as to be early for work.

She stopped at a Cafe for a burger and fries as she didn't have time to eat before coming out. A blue Camry pulled up not long after she got out.

“I guess I'll be giving you that lift after all miss Chloe." Charles said with a smile as he alighted his vehicle. Gemila smiled back, getting into the car while he held the door for her.

“Thank you." She said politely.

“Anytime. So did you sleep well?"

“Knowing that my devil of a boss had planned out another stressful day for me, yes I slept like a baby." Gemila said rolling her eyes. She wasn't looking forward to another day with that man, especially as she gets reminded of what he did every morning.

“You seem really formal with Harry, have you two met before?" Charles asked taking a quick glance at her before returning his focus to the road.

“No, but I know someone with his attitude."

“Harry isn't all bad. He's just healing from a bad past." Charles said remembering how broken Harry was two years back.

Gemila however didn't reply to that. She didn't want to say too much so as to avoid any suspicions. They arrived at the company not long after and just as they alighted the Camry, Harry's vehicle also arrived. Gemila rushed into the building not wanting him to see her yet. She at least needs to have a distraction when he starts being annoying to avoid saying something that would expose her.

She turned her back and noticed he is talking to Charles and suddenly an idea struck her.

She could seize this moment and do some digging on Harry's files, see if she would find something that would at least rise suspicion about him illegally. She quickly raced towards the elevator, pressing the button endlessly until it finally opened.

“Cmon c'mon c'mon!" She kept saying till it stopped at the top floor leading to Harry's office. She tried to walk fast but at the same time not make it obvious that she's up to something. Thankfully thanks to her position as PA, she was given a access card to his office. She swiped the card on the metallic lock and the doors automatically opened. She immediately rushed to the stack pile of folders and blue prints, forgetting to close the door.

She began flipping pages of the folders one by one with hope that she would find something but unfortunately that ended the moment she heard the banging sound of the door. Her first instinct is to hide under the table and she did that without looking back.

Harry scrutinized his office wondering who got in leaving the door open. He noticed the scattered folders on his desk and perceived a familiar fragrance. The only woman he's met that wears sugar baby is Chloe.

Gemila covered her mouth to reduce the sound of her rapid breathing as Harry footsteps drew closer to where she hid. She started rehearsing her excuse for when he sees her but unfortunately she didn't get enough time as Harry swiftly pulled her out of her hideout.

He had a smirk on his face and for some reason she wasn't bothered about him asking her about her agenda because knowing the kind of man Harry is or was, he wouldn't care about your reason.

“Well well well. To what do I owe this break-in, Chloe Richardz?"
