Chapter 28 - A Liar and a Cheater

David sighed, and she could hear the turmoil in his voice. "Nothing happened, Lyra. We just talked, and she helped me through a rough night. That's all."

Relief washed over her, but she couldn't shake the nagging feeling that there was more to the story. She decided to let it go for now, knowing that they had more pressing matters to attend to.
