Nathan's birthday came around and it was a very bright morning. I allowed him to sleep in as it was a Saturday and when he did wake up, Leo was around to greet him, "hey buddy"

My heart moved at the word and how happy he was to say it and I saw the emotion in Leo's eyes too. He heaved him up, turning him around in a circle, and they both laughed when he placed him down again.

"Happy birthday Nathan"

"You too, Daddy."

"What?" We both chuckled.

"It's not my birthday yet, today is specifically for you and it's the day you were brought into this world. We have your mom to thank for that."

"Thank you mummy", I smiled and continued with the breakfast I was making. Mostly cereal for him and bread and bacon for us.

He sat down to eat it and when he was done, Leo helped with getting him ready. We were to go to the family house, then the venue as the party would be starting soon.
