Chapter 80

Amaris snuggled into Lyle's shoulder and stared out the window on the opposite side of the train car. The underground lights and the stone flew by at an amazing speed. She had not noticed until that moment that they had been moving so fast. The island was small. If they kept up this pace, they would be at the opposite side in no time. Looking over at the rest of the group, Amaris noticed that they were deep in conversation. She nudged Lyle and motioned for him to follow her over to the group.

Lyle and Amaris walked over and sat with the others. Anna and Taji turned and smiled at them in greeting, but no one else acknowledged their prescence. Marco and Christos seemed to be in a deep discussion while Jason was furiously typing on his phone.
