Anna led the other three back to the control room. When they arrived the three men were in a conference at one computer. All three heads jerked up and looked to see who entered. The room fell silent waiting for Lyle's response to the news. Since there was none, Christos decided that they should all head to the kitchen and have some dinner. This time he surprised everyone and pulled some frozen pizzas out ansd popped them into the oven. While they were cooking, they started their planning session for the next day and started giving out night watch assignments. It was decided that they would split the night into 1 hour shifts per person with the two couples going first as a two hour block each, together. They made short work of 3 large meat lovers pizzas and one cheese pizza for Amaris, of which she only had 1 piece. The twins just about ate one whole pizza a piece, but they were very funny telling stories of when they were little and all of the crazy antics that they got up to. After breakfast was finished, everyone pitched in to help clean up which made it go faster. The little group all moved to the living room in which Christos had spoken with Amaris and Lyle the night before. She noticed, upon entering that the tapestries were gone, but some of the maps were still there. Christos walked over to stand next to the table and everyone stood around it to hear what he had to say. "Amaris. While you were resting last night, we were able to confirm that the king did indeed find that relic that he had been looking for. It was unearthed somewhere in the mountains. We still do not know exactly what it is or what it can do. We do believe that Anna is right in believing that whatever it is, they used it on Marco. If it almost killed you just trying to help him, imagine what it would do to you if they used it on you. We would like to keep you here for now under guard, while a few of us go out to the King's palace and try and see if we can find out what it is

She had not been able to say goodbye, nor had she been able to talk to Lyle since before they spoke with Christos. Amaris got out of bed and headed to the bathroom. She turned the light on and closed the door. As she walked by the mirror she saw writing on the mirror that simply said 'Sorry'. Amaris froze looking at the mirror. "Anna!" was all she could get out. Anna came running in to the bathroom in a flash. "What? What is it? Mari?" Anna said putting her arms on Amaris'. "He thinks that all of this is his fault." Amaris said. "Here sweetie. Drink some of this. It will help." Anna was handing her a tea cup. Amaris had not even noticed Anna leaving. The aroma of the tea brought her back to her senses as she recognized the scent. It was her grandmother's tea that she used to drink to relax her and help keep the nightmares away. "I contacted mom and dad and Gran. I hope you don't mind that I told them what is going on. Gran suggested that I make this for you. She talked me through it. I need to write this one down. "What is it that you are not telling me?" Amaris looked between the three of them. Marco rolled his eyes as the other two stood and looked at the floor. "Amaris. Once werewolves mate, they have cycles much like the real wolf. We are not sure if this will even apply to you. Anna and Amaris finally went upstairs to get what they needed. It was dark and quiet up there. Amaris went to the living room where Marco and Christos had been working, but it was dark and no one was in there. The computer, maps, and tapestries were all gone as well. "Where did they go?" Anna said looking around. "We have moved our command post and all the guard posts outside the grounds. We need to keep all the unmated males out of scent range. I have a few mated males that I was able to call in to do the closest watches, but I really do not have that many of my men who are mated. Price of being a military man. You are mostly hanging out with other military men. We are able to monitor the house and grounds remotely with cameras.
