Rayne’s POV

As Reese held me tight in his arms, I began to second guess if Emma as telling me the truth about my grandmother. Maybe I should have called the hospital and verified she was truly there, but why would she lie to me about my grandmother.

“I’m going to miss you.” I tell Reese looking up into his beautiful green eyes.

“I don’t want to talk about it. I just want to hold you for as long as I can before she gets here.” Reese says and I know this is really hard on him not being able to accompany me. So instead of talking I pulled him down to me and kissed him hard. I wanted to remember what I had waiting for me back in Ridgewood.

Headlights beamed on us, and I turned to see Emma’s jeep pull in. Emma jumped out and walked over to us. “Thanks for meeting me halfway.” She said to Reese as he had a possessive arm wrapped around me.
