Rayne’s POV Looking around me I saw over a dozen wolves as Reese held me in his arms. Ethan thankfully stopped Kera before she got to me and I was grateful to him. My heart felt full seeing the wolves come to my rescue and I realized they accepted me as one of them. Rayne’s POV Reese’s lips crashed into mine as he lifted us out of the bathtub carrying me to his bed. Gently he laid me down on his satin sheets without breaking the kiss and I began to burn deeper to have him release the pain that was building up inside of me. Rayne’s POV My eyes fluttered open as I awoke the next day unfortunately to an empty bed. A single piece of paper laid on Reese’s pillow and I quickly sat up and reached for it. Reese’s POV Walking Rayne around the packhouse I realized why it might take time to convince her to be my mate. Rayne wasn’t brought up as a wolf she was raised in a normal human like home. Even though Emma had said she is part witch Rayne was never exposed to even that side of her. I could feel the wolf growing stronger inside her especially when we made love last night and today when I took her on my desk. It was crazy how I had lived so many years of my life surround by wolves but never knew they existed or that my own father was one. Talking with Reese today also took away a lot of my stress I had on what I was going to decide for my future.
