Chapter 4. At the refugees camp

Henry Dominic walked out of their mansion and made his way to the backyard section. Although he had sent the two maids to have Camila bathe outside, he was fully aware of what he had sent them to do, and he wanted to see her.

Camila had finished bathing and dropped her clothes to the floor. She was shivering from the cold and stared at the two young ladies, similar in size to her, while one of them gave her a white towel to wrap around her body.

Camila collected the white towel and fumbled to find its edge, wrapping it around herself. As she heard multiple footsteps behind her, she swiftly turned and saw the man who had brought her into the mansion, his eyes glowing yellow as they fixed on her.

Camila immediately wrapped the white towel around her chest, and the man didn't avert his gaze from her body, continuing to stare as she shivered.

"Henry, is she the new foreigner?" Camila heard the woman walk up to her and ask.

Henry heard his mother's question and hadn't expected her to follow him outside. As Camila had a nice shape and he liked her, he struggled to reply, "Yes, Mother."

"Luna Ruth, you sent for us?" Two guards immediately appeared from behind, and Luna Ruth snapped out of her trance, not caring if Camila was wearing only a white towel or not.

Luna Ruth immediately ordered, "Take this lady out of here and ensure she doesn't leave the refugees' house. I will see her personally later. Ensure that no one is granted access to see her until I have decided or the Alpha decides tomorrow."

"Okay, Luna." The two guards immediately walked up to Camila, bundled her by her arms, and took her away.

Henry tried to protest, "Mother, let me take her to the refugees' house by myself. I don't trust those guards with her."

Henry wanted to walk away and call the two guards back, but his mother immediately replied, "No, son. She's a foreigner and shouldn't be seen with you or care about what happens to her. She cannot be trusted not to be a spy or an enemy. Come, let us go inside to have our dinners, as it's already late, and Juliet had insisted that we wait until your return."

"Hmm," Henry sighed as he continued to watch the guards drag Camila away.

He didn't know her name yet, but he couldn't stop admiring her and her body.

Camila was taken outside of Alpha's executive mansion by the Western Wood Pack. She was taken to a very big, open house without clothes. She was only wearing a white towel around her chest and was scared as the two men dragged her into the big house.

She could see some other people in the big hall, looking at her in surprise as the two guards dragged her inside.

It was very late, but the big house had light and a power supply.

Camila saw that the people standing in the hall looked poor and malnourished in their slave clothes. She feared what would happen to her, as she was the daughter of the Eastern Wood Pack Alpha.

The whole pack didn't look like what Camila had been told about them. The two guards from Alpha's mansion that had previously dragged Camila into the refugees' house stopped.

They let go of Camila and handed her over to the two new guards, who were monitoring all the foreigners in the house.

One of the guards from the Alpha Mansion spoke: "Luna Ruth had stated that this lady shouldn't be touched or granted access by anyone until she sees her tomorrow."

"Okay. Come with us," one of the new guards replied, his yellow eyes glowing at Camila. He knew it was best not to disobey Luna's order, as the young lady he was seeing was indeed a temptress.

The new guard repeated to Camila, "Follow me, woman."

Camila stood up from the ground, clutching tightly to her chest and holding the towel wrapped around herself as she shivered.

Having been drenched from the rain, she followed the guards.

He took Camila to another section of the big house, which contained more than 300 foreigners.

The foreigners were used to cleaning up their pack house and tidying up the environment. Only those who passed Alpha's test were allowed to leave freely among their people.

The defaulters and those accused of dangerous acts who had run away from their old packs were kept under close monitoring.

The guard took Camila to a room mostly occupied by women. He unlocked the door and ordered Camila, "Go inside."

Camila didn't protest and walked into the room. She was glad that Luna had warned the guards not to touch her, as she meant no harm.

As Camila walked in, she saw two ladies dressed in blue slave gowns, older than her, staring at her. Their eyes widened in shock as they saw the Eastern Wood Pack symbol on Camila's forehead, realizing she was a defaulter.

Camila felt the intense gaze of the two women on her as they stood beside the bed. She greeted them, "Good evening."

One of the young women growled, and the second woman remained quiet.

The guard walked into the room and cautioned the two ladies, "You shouldn't dare to touch her or do anything silly with her, as she will be staying here with you both."

Camila looked around the slightly bright room, seeing only two bunk beds. The two ladies seemed unfriendly to her.

"What are you staring at? You cannot use the bed, so stay away from it!" one of the two ladies warned Camila.

They were of Camila's age and didn't like that she came from the Eastern Wood Pack, reminding them of their sins and the fact that they also had the Eastern Wood Pack Sun Symbol tattooed on their foreheads.

Camila was still wrapped in the towel she had collected from one of the two maids in the Alpha Mansion. She quietly walked to a corner in the room to stand.

Soon, one of the guards returned and threw a blue gown for Camila to wear.

"Wear this!" The guard spat as his yellow eyes burned at Camila, and he left.

Camila was afraid of what her fate would be the following day. She hadn't expected the situation in the Western Wood Pack to be reversed from what she had anticipated.

She hoped the Alpha and his family would allow her to stay, as she wasn't ready to wander away to another pack. It was not safe out there, and she really missed her mother.

Camila took off the white towel and wore the oversized blue gown given to her. She was tired, hungry, and had no one to talk to.

Camila saw the two ladies finally lay on the bed to sleep and spread the white towel on the floor in the small room. She laid on it to sleep, shivering due to the cold weather, and soon she fell asleep.
