Chapter 20 An agreement

Today is my 10th day in the witch tribe. After getting along these days, the witch is much friendlier than I imagined.

The bonfire's warm embrace cast a flickering dance of light and shadow across the faces of the gathered witches. Laughter and music filled the air as the night progressed, weaving a tapestry of joy and celebration. Among the revelers, my gaze was unerringly drawn to Ariana.

Ariana indulged in the spirits of the occasion, her laughter ringing through the air like tinkling bells. I watched her with a mixture of amusement and tenderness, a smile tugging at the corners of my lips as she embraced the merriment.

I'm so happy when I realize she's been doing well these past few years.

Soon, the effects of the alcohol began to take hold, and Ariana leaned against my shoulder, her breathing steady and content. Her eyelids drooped, and the world around her seemed to blur into a hazy dream. I couldn't help but look at her face, her features illuminated by the bonfire's glow
