“I can’t take it anymore, Paul. We need to do something. I can’t stand looking at him anymore. I hate him so much. Oh, goddess, I just want to step all over his cursed face,” I whispered to Paul, pacing across my office with rage.
“Have patience, My Lord; we’ll figure out something. We always do,” Paul replied, trying to calm me.
“It’s been six months, Paul, six whole months. Six months filled with nights of praying that he is killed off in the Troubled Waters just like every other goddamned mortal that ever goes there, and mornings seeing him walk back to the pack with that cursed smile on his face. I can’t take it anymore. It feels like I might go mad if I continue to see his face,” I ranted exasperatedly, pulling at my hair. I imagined how I must look like to him now, and suddenly I couldn’t bear to see his face anymore.
“You may leave now, Paul; you’re dismissed,” I ordered, waving him away. I watched his back until he got out of the room, shutting the door behind him. I picked up the world globe on my table to throw it at the wall when I felt something strange in my surroundings. I turned around to see a black raven holding a piece of paper in its mouth. Taking it out of its mouth, I released it to fly back.
Opening up the paper, I quickly scanned through it, and the message on it brought a smile to my lips. This was one heck of good news. It’s been two months since I reached out to The Spartan Witch.
The shifter is filled with different types of shifters from witches to vampires to bats and foxes. The Spartan Witch was a legendary name in the shifter community. She has done a lot of seemingly impossible things and made them look easy. She was a lone witch not bound to any coven; rumors even had it that she was banished from her kind for practicing the kind of magic she does.
The Spartan Witch practiced purely dark magic which was exactly what I need right now. She practiced her craft and would do anything for the right price. She had no moral compass or conscience whatsoever; she was bloody perfect for what I need. Smiling to myself at the thought of what I was about to do, I could already envision how powerful I was about to become. It was going to happen; I’m going to kill my wolf. At least one good news is coming out of this otherwise bland day.
Looking around the office, the black leather couch by the corner, the brown bookcase on my left. I used to love this place; it was my safe place in the pack. The only room that spoke volumes of the power an Alpha held. A power that now belonged to me. “It’s not yours,” a little voice in me said. Wolves were a vital part of every of our kind; they were kind of like our soulmates, they were bound to us forever. I had grown up to this same voice, always telling me what to do. His voice was something else I couldn’t stand, but there was no problem. He would soon be destroyed and silenced forever just like anyone who had ever dared to stand in his way. I deserved this, damn it, to be revered and worshipped, i crave it like it was my next breath. Truthfully i could live with the voice of my wolf; after all, i have lived this far with it; however, my wolf was just like the rest of them—weak. I looked around the room, and my eyes landed on the globe in front of him; we had all wanted to travel the world together. See that’s why I needed to get rid of my wolf; always trying to show him the ‘right way.” I need to take a walk.
On seeing me, people bowed left and right, and I’m supposed to let this position go. Ha,” I thought, shaking my head. I continued till I got to the balcony that overlooked the entire pack. “I could spit upon them from here, and they’d have no choice but to take it, to take their Alpha’s spit,” I jested to my wolf in my mind. Rustling in the bushes directly below me brought a hold of my thoughts. The Luna’s attendants were gossiping again.
“Have you seen his shoulders? They’re so big; I bet he could pick me up. Oh, he’s so handsome,” one said wistfully.
“I don’t think I have ever been attracted to scars before, but I’d love to worship his scars, to kiss them from scar to scar,” the other agreed with stars in her eyes.
“As if,” another one sneered at her fellow girls. “He smiled at me the other day; he wants me. Oh, the things I would do to that man,” she completed with a faraway look in her eyes.
“Dalton smiles at everyone,” the first one hissed at her. “Anyways, I already spoke to my father; he promised that he’ll talk to the Alpha and see to it that I’m mated to him,” she finished with pride at her fellow girls.
“Don’t you ladies have any better thing to do instead of standing here, gossiping about a slave?” The voice of my luna said.
“We won’t want me informing the Alpha about this, would we?” She continued.
“No ma’am,” they said simultaneously, bowing to her. “We’re very sorry, Luna,” they apologized to her.
“Alright, I never want to hear about anything even mildly related to this matter again. You’re dismissed,” She ordered, waving them away.
The girls were still discussing on their way to their rooms, but they were far away for my luna to hear them. I, however, still could thanks to my Alpha hearing.
“But we weren't doing anything wrong,” The second one said. “Don’t you know Dalton is the Luna’s true mate? She obviously still wants him,” the third one replied.
I could already feel my blood boiling at this point. “Both of you shush; let’s just stop talking about this,” the first and obviously most sensible said, effectively shutting them all up. Their little bout of gossips might have riled me up a bit, but what drove me mad with fury was the thread of murderous anger and arousal in my mind that definitely wasn’t mine. These were Caitlyn’s feelings; God, I need to do something about the wretched slave soon.
"How dare you disrespect your alpha. How dare you look your alpha in the eyes. It seems you need to be reminded of your place. Don't you Slave?. He whispered harshly almost maliciously walking slowly towards the slave. Tension could be sensed as the pack waited earnestly and in anticipation to what would be done to the slave, anticipating whether one of them would be called upon to discipline the slave to prove their worth to their alpha, to receive favor in the eyes of their leader. However the alpha had other ideas it seems as he beckoned over the Beta, a position second only to the Alpha. "Bring to me the The whip". The Alpha whispered again. The pin drop silence that once existed was ruptured by whimpers from the slaves. None of them have been unfortunate enough to having the feared "THORNED WHIP" against their skin but the rumors of how deadly the whip was had them in whimpers. One whimper was particularly louder than the others, this one came from the slave boy who had t
His ears were ringing, that had to be it, he couldn't have heard correctly. The goddess waters was commonly referred to as Troubled waters at this time of the year. The anger of the goddess was known to be at its highest at this time of the year. For the first time in the two years that he had become a slave,he looked his supposed Alpha in the eye. He tried so hard to find the man that he once used to see as his best friend but it seemed he had evaporated into thin air. No mortal man was allowed to barely be five meters in the parameters that surrounds the Troubled waters. it was no news that the anger of the goddess births demons that could and would drive a man mad , to ask any mortal man to be even in the surroundings of the waters was sending the fellow on a suicide mission. The Alpha smile could not get any wider as he dismissed everyone. Even after everyone had left, he didn't stop smiling. Now he could rest, his plan was all coming together. He was very sure The slave wou
HE suddenly felt pairs of hands on him holding him down. He realized he had been thrashing about on his bed spaces. He looked up to find his roommates looking at him with eyes of pity, not one of them could relate to the pain he was feeling but they were desperately to do the best they could to help him. The somber atmosphere was disrupted by sharp intrusive noises. HE could hear them now. The guards were on their patrols and were here to make sure the alpha's order were duly followed. They were banging so hard on the door, like they wanted to break it down. Their fists fueled by the hatred rooted in their soul. Still clutching his stomach, he stumbled to the door before they decided to unleash their fury on the other occupants in the room. When he got to the door, he turned back to look at the faces of the other occupants of the room, men who were once held in reverence , who were known to be mighty men in valor now slaves to be kept tightly under the fists of boys they trained. H
He woke up to darkness; it was already dawn. There was no sight of the beast anywhere and no noise. The only sound that could be heard was the rushing of the water as it moved almost violently back and forth from the shore. He couldn't decide if the silence was scarier than the chaos he had witnessed here. He stood up, turned around, and there it was.Crouched a few feet away from him was a large wolf, almost larger than him, an Alpha wolf. It was a female, that much he could smell. She had shining black fur, so black that she almost blended in with the night. The only thing that didn’t blend in were her eyes, a moon-shaped symbol in the center of her eyes and a streak that ran a straight line on her coat across her back from her head down to the tip of her tail. She had pitch-white, bottomless eyes. The symbol on her head was gold with a white outline, with the same color and outline on her back and her tail. The tip of her tail, however, was the same pitch black as her coat. She was
He walked slowly back to the pack house. He couldn't wrap his mind around it, how could he define what had happened in the space of the precious night and this morning, a test of faith maybe?. If that was true, does that mean that he passed or would he just pass away in his sleep or just lose his mind later in the day. After everything that had happened he wouldn't put it past the so called benevolent moon goddess. He winced at the direction his thoughts had just taken. His mother was probably turning in her grave as we speak, to hear her son so much as think about the goddess she had placed so highly. But he couldn't help it, the moon goddess had been nothing but a giant pain in his rear end in the past years. He couldn't help but smile in melancholy at the fact that he couldn't even call his rear end what would and could be classified as a curse word in the same thought as anything related to the moon goddess. His mother and the women that raised him had drilled respect for the mo
NOTE : HI GUYS. i just thought i'd leave this here that this is a not the main story. This is a backstory of what had happened before the real story so yeah let's get into the story. ........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................ There he was, alive and well. He walked slowly towards the pack house. Everything seemed to be stuck in a stand still. No one could believe their eyes. No mortal had ever, escaped alive. It was impossible to even think about but there the evidence was. He wasn't even about to doubt the fact that the guards had followed him to the perimeter,Sir Dave had gone with them and if there was anyone who wished Dalton dead as much as him, it was definitely Sir Dave. The rea
Dalton’s P.O.V I couldn’t stop thinking of the wolf. I can’t define it; it’s just there. I’ve been sleeping at the Troubled Waters for about 2 weeks now, and she just shows up every day to curl up beside me. I swear I’ve never felt so much at peace in my life. Sometimes it feels like I've known the wolf all my life, like I grew up with her, like I’m connected to her. I used to feel like this for Caitlyn, but that was understandable; she’s my mate. Up until I came across the wolf, that is. It wasn’t possible for a shifter to be gifted with two mates. What am I even thinking about? I wasn’t even sure she was a shifter and not a pure wolf. Goddess, I need to figure this out soon before I go mad. My thoughts were interrupted by the list of chores handed to me. What an irony life was, a pure Alpha Bloodbeing asked to wash toilets, but I’d do anything for my son, so off we go. It was already nightfall by the time I finished all the chores on the list and slowly made my way in the directio
