Chapter 9: THE DREAM

Emily cursed weakly under her breath as she carried the leaking jar up on her shoulder. Her hands and feet were getting numb and she was dragging her feet on the floor. She was drenched from head to toe and was very tired. Adam was void of human sympathy as far as she was concerned and even cursed the day she met him.

So far, coming to Silverhood seemed more like a curse than a blessing.

“Beautiful life my foot”, she hissed under her breath as she finally got to the kitchen and filled one of the large kitchen jar some splashing on the floor. She looked at the kitchen jar in dismay, it was not near half and she had been going to and fro eight times.

“Watch it………hell of a mess there”, was all Emily could hear as the head servant Jacinta scolded her. Emily ignored her, she would not use her last strength on a mere maid.
