I squirmed in my seat because the gaze on me was getting uncomfortable. Atticus hasn’t said a word since we stepped foot in the restaurant that was located in the company building. I kept smiling the entire ride home even though my stomach was all tangled up in a bunch of nerves. The lights were too bright but I didn’t want to get up just yet but the brightness was making it impossible to keep my eyes shut. I turned to my right so I was backing the window.
