Chapter One Hundred and Seventy Four

ONE YEAR LATER

Matthew threw his head back as the plane landed. He closed his eyes and took in a few breaths while opening his eyes again. He grabbed his bag and followed the hordes of passengers off the plane walking towards where he would grab his box. He had sent most of his stuff back a month ago so all he needed was a box.

A feeling of nausea and familiarity washed over him as she walked towards the airport entrance. Nothing seemed to have changed since the last time he had first come to the airport. The memories of a year ago suddenly washed over him but instead of feeling heartbroken or heart-wrenching emotions as he had always done, he laughed instead. He nodded at the security with a smile as the sliding doors opened and he stepped out of the airport lobby but the very next moment, his smile got frozen as soon as he saw the person in front of him.

“Elena” he called out in sheer shock.

There was a girl standing in front of him her hair packed neatly and pulled into her pony
