Chapter 30: The Aftermath

The ride back home was silent, only the sounds of engines and people's chatter as they drove along could be heard. Another distraction was the brown paper file that Grace held tightly between her arms . Grace had refused to speak about it or even speak at all. And Jason respected that .

The ride ended fast, faster than they both expected, Especially Grace who was brought back to her senses when she felt that they weren't in motion anymore. They were relieved however as the awkwardness could be partially avoided. Grace helped herself down the motorbike one foot at a time not waiting for Jason's help. Once down she strode to the other side standing on the pavement a few feet away from Jason's bike.
