Chapter 145 : This is not the time

She has a perfectly round face, and slightly curvy lips, her eyes look thinly wider while they are closed and she has a mole at the corner of her eyes, the same as— me. She looks the same as I had pictured my daughter would look when I got to know about it. It seems like my imagination is reflecting through this child with that uncanny similarity. I can't take my eyes off her. And I feel like watching her for as long as possible.

She brings a blissful smile to my face as if I can connect with her already. My chest fills with joy and affection. For a moment, I literally melt into another world.

I step towards the bed and watch her sleeping peacefully. My smile widens and I feel a kind of urge to run my fingers through her hair.

"I thought you left", Christian's voice brings me back to reality, making me startled.

I look up at them and it takes me a while to realise I was in a different kind of world where I literally thought this little girl was my daughter. I almost forgot
