“Diane?” He asks as he hugs her back and quickly pulls away.

He notices me standing there and he quickly pulls me to him holding my waist protectively. The moment I saw her jump on him I couldn’t help but feel a pang of jealousy inside me and my stomach twisted for a second but I decided not to be paranoid. She could be his cousin for all I know right?

“I’ll go check on the book princess,” Theo says as he excuses himself but it feels like he just doesn’t want to be found in such an awkward situation.
