Chapter Sixty Seven ~ Unwind

“Are you okay sweet pea?” Dad asks me and I sigh trying hard not to break down.

“I’m still trying to believe it’s actually happening,” I respond truthfully and he remains silent before speaking up again.

“Should I come over?” He asks and I laugh.

“What happened to hating New York?” I tease and he chuckles slightly.

“My daughter needs her father.” He says calmly and that is enough to make my eyes swell with tears. I’m so lucky to have him as my father and this call is enough to set me back on the grid.

“I’ll be okay Daddy I promise. The truth will be revealed I just know it.” I assure him and after a few minutes of going back and forth he reluctantly agrees but only if Aunt Melan can help me with the kids.
