The weight of those pictures and that creepy message hits me like a ton of bricks. Seeing Emily in the arms of another guy—it's like a punch straight to the gut. I never imagined I'd be dealing with this.

“Jake!” I call out and he’s in the office in a split second. I push the envelope towards him as he eyes them carefully, “I want you to call a private detective and find out who sent this to me.”

He looks at the content but doesn’t dare to make a face or ask me about it, “Okay sir.”

Furious and hurt, I storm out of the office, But my thoughts keep drifting and drowning in regret as I remember those big brown innocent eyes looking back at me with tears in their eyes. She haunts me in every way possible. When I sleep, sit, or walk. My mind always finds itself drawn and thinking back to her.
