70 - Monica meets Veronica after 5 years

Monica heard voices around her. She seemed to be in a faraway land. Suddenly jolted awake, her eyes opened into the worried ones of Ben. Elsie, Serena, and some other workers were in her office. Her membrane of confusion shadowed her as worried looks focussed on her. She was lying on something firm and solid as a strong pair of hands clamped her cheeks. A wind of embarrassment swayed her when she realized that she was lying on Ben's lap on the sofa. Ben's eyes were filled with concern. 

"Monica, what happened? You passed out."

Her senses were in a forgetful mode. She tried to remember and finally, she did. "My phone, where is my phone," she panicked. Ben was about to hand over the phone to her when it rang. He glanced at it before handing it over to Monica. Monica seemed to already have a fair knowledge of what Gertrude was about to say and beckoned everyone else to leave except Serena, Elsie and Ben.
