Chapter 79. Mysterious Man

“Laura, what is this?”

Mike was stunned; part of Laura's face was bruised. Mike also looked at Laura's neck; there were strangulation marks from the man's hands.

“That bastard hit you, Ra?”

Laura nodded, tears welling up in her eyes. “I fought back by stabbing a pair of scissors into the back of his neck; he got angry and then hit and strangled me,” Laura said again, crying; she again felt pain and fear.

“It's OK, Ra. We'll do a physical as evidence to aggravate that bastard's punishment. You don't have to worry. I'll be there to assist you, and that bastard should be punished severely.”

Mike gently wiped away the tears on Laura's face, and Laura winced when Mike's hand touched the bruises on her face. “Oh, sorry, Ra.” Mike let out a long sigh. He asked Laura to change her clothes; they were going to the police station to report Benny's crime.
