Chapter 23

Kendrick at his study, thinking hard on what to do. He stood in front of the window, looking at the cars moving.

His head has refused to think. Coupled with the hangover, he just couldn't go hard on himself. Having stood there for some time, he went to his desk.

He brought out a clean sheet with a carved pencil. There was a rush of jewelry ideas in his head and he needed to get one since he couldn't get a solution.

He was almost done with the earrings sketching when a message popped on his screen, distracting him.

“Boss, the board wants to have a meeting with you in an hour's time,” the message was from his secretary.

He was expecting that summons, but not so fast. He knew the board would be hard on him because a lot of them were never in support of him being the Ceo.

They had chosen who they wanted to take over from his mother, but his mother insisted he take over because he had been his PA before taking up other positions.
