Chapter 10

Darlington Briggs;

I quickly took a bath and asked for some food. Later, I was abruptly awakened from my afternoon nap by the sound of my phone ringing on the table in my room.

I quickly got out of the hotel bed, and noticed that it was already evening. I was disappointed because I had expected Jenna to arrive earlier.

I noticed my phone ringing and saw that it was my mother calling.

"Hey, Darlington. Where are you?" I responded to my mother's question with a yawn and a stretch, saying, "I am in a special place, Mom. Why are you bothering me with a call?"

My mother told me that the new lady had arrived at our mansion. She said my father had been trying to reach me, but my phone wasn't connecting. "Where are you located? Start returning to our residence now."

"Why, Mother? I already mentioned that I have no interest in seeing this lady. I have no interest in her identity or origin. I mentioned that Father could proceed with marrying her as his second wife."
