Darlington Briggs.

I finally broke the quiet between us, concealing my admiration for this lady with a severe expression. I felt like I would've seen her before, but I could not remember where.

"So you came here for an arranged marriage with me? Do you think I want to marry you? Why would you come to my family home without waiting for me to approve or disagree?" I questioned the lady in an obnoxious tone, and she stared downward and apologized seductively, saying, "I am sorry for how you feel about all of this. But I did not want to marry you either. My father persisted, and I could not insult him."

"Hmm..." I noticed her shivering from the cold weather, and my bedroom ceiling fan was on and revolving quickly, as was the air conditioner. I marched to the fan, turned it off, and felt her focused glare. I was not that sure about meeting her blue orbs. She appears attractive, but I made it apparent to her.
