Chapter 8

Brandon walked back and forth in front of the hospital's entrance. LT Nick Dennison was also in attendance. LT, as he was affectionately known by his fellow soldiers. Nick had informed the other men that the Commander was in good health and only need relaxation. As a result, they gradually left one by one. All, with the exception of Brandon, of course. And he had no intention of leaving until he had the opportunity to speak with Jackson.

Sienna sat on a hospital bench and stared at Brandon with wide eyes. He was attempting to maintain his composure, but she was well aware that her phone call to him earlier that evening had terrified the very daylights out of him. He maintained his poker face, but his frequent back and forth walking revealed his true identity.

When Sienna contacted him, he was almost back to his house when he nearly flipped his jeep while attempting to turn around in the wrong direction. Dr. Smith had been informed by the doctors that t
