Rogue's POV

Kathrine was staring at me when I woke up. Though her eyes were puffy and a look of rebuke singed in her gaze, she remained stuck to my chest, half laying on me and half on the bed.

I played along in the stare-game, looking directly in the garden of her fresh lavenders, my body becoming slowly aware of the heat increasing on her own. She was unable to keep the tremors from her body and still she didn't take her eyes away.

She wanted to prove a point— that she wasn't scared of me— and at the same time exhibit her anger towards me for something I did to her.

"What is it?" I asked, my fingers removing the hair from her forehead.

She didn't open her mouth. Her eyes, though, told me several stories of hurt, pain, survival in the hands of a monster, fears and what not.

"Tell me what's making you look at me like this?" She slightly moved before throwing my hand away from her face.
