I feel the soft sheet slide as I pull it, and I sit up abruptly, sitting on the bed. Shit, I breathe a sigh of relief, seeing Nathan sitting in the armchair near the window.

I lie back down, trying to remember the recent events. I'm wearing only one of his shirts, and I can smell his soap on me. Did he bathe me? How can I not remember that?

I can see his cold expression clearly, thanks to the light coming in through the window, preventing complete darkness in the room. I think about the right words to say, but in the end, I decide it's best not to say anything.

I wonder where my phone is and what time it is. He remains seated, motionless, with tense shoulders and a clenched jaw. How long is he going to stay like this? I get up and walk towards him. I love the book but it does need to be edited to make the changes of the day or event clear. It skips for one day to the next, or from office to home without a clear transition.
