My alarm going off cut through my dreams and woke me up. I just groaned and leaned over to grab my phone, turning it off before rolling over again and pulling the covers over my head. Today was going to be busy. It was the first day of school tomorrow, and I was dreading it. All the questions and conversations about how amazing summer was… or worst still, MY summer. Chapter Twenty Nine I spent most of the night tossing and turning, I just couldn’t switch off. Chapter Thirty OneAs soon as Toby pulled into the School parking lot and found a space, I jumped out of the car and hurried off. The parking lot was around the back, and while teachers had their own area, a lot of the students drove. Chapter Thirty Two By the time lunchtime rolled around, I was well and truly sick of school. All I had heard all day, even from my friends, was how attractive one of the new teachers was. Sophie also wouldn’t stop asking if I was ok like she knew something was wrong. I knew she meant well, but it was starting to piss me off a little bit. I went into the canteen to get some food before joining my friends on their usual patch of grass out on the field. The weather was so lovely still, even though summer had technically ended, that most of the students and staff were out here relaxing too. ‘Not hungry?’ Thomas asked, looking down at my simple sandwich and bottle of water.
