~ Chapter 33 ~

Amanda and Alan cuddled up with each other in silence, watching the sunset with a smile on their faces; Alan reminiscing on the kiss Amanda gave him a while ago when her voice brought him out of memory lane.

"I grew up in Nigeria; my mother's country" she started, taking him by surprise but instead of commenting he just pulled her closer to his body and she continued talking "It's a nice country, but as always in every country, there is always a bad part of it, and I grew up in the worst part of Nigeria with the worst family ever" a faint smile appeared on her face as she reminisced on the old memories.

"At first, it was good. We were poor but happy, I barely have memories of those days but I knew it was good. But everything started going downhills when my mum started drinking, it started with a few drinks and coming home tipsy to being wasted every night, and soon enough my father joined her" she let out a little laugh after she said that, making Alan place a chaste
