Chapter 13

Danciana's POV

As Alpha Dante left the room, a wave of relief washed over me. I had just finished a conversation with Aurelia that could potentially have serious consequences. I couldn't help but wonder if Dante had overheard our exchange. Although his demeanor seemed unchanged, I couldn't shake off the nagging feeling that I needed to err on the side of caution.

I turned to Aurelia, who was still writing her response on the book. I knew I had to play it cool, so I smiled and said, "Aurelia, let's continue this conversation another time. I think we both need a break right now. We can start the speech therapy class later, alright?"

Aurelia paused, her gaze flickering between me and the book. She seemed slightly puzzled but nodded in agreement and wrote in the book. "Sure, Danciana. I understand. We can pick up where we left off later. Take care of yourself, okay?"

"Thank you, Aurelia," I replied, trying to mask my anxiety. "You take care too. We'll make progress together, I promise." W
