Chapter 78

Danciana's POV:

I rushed into the hospital, my heart pounding with anticipation. The familiar scent of antiseptic and the sound of bustling footsteps echoed through the hallways. As I walked in, some nurses smiled and greeted me warmly. It always felt good to be appreciated for the work I do.

One of the nurses approached me hurriedly, her face filled with concern. "Danciana, we need you in Ward C immediately. There's a child in critical condition, and we fear she might not make it."

My eyes widened in alarm. "What happened? Tell me everything you know," I asked, trying to steady my voice.

The nurse explained, "The child was brought in a while ago, unconscious and barely breathing. We've been trying to stabilize her, but her condition is worsening."
