Chapter Forty-six
Alexander’s POV
Being moved like that made me feel sick, not ill like my body would heal in moments but like my brain had been spinning for hours, that was why my body automatically moved to the floor, trying to regain a sense of reality.
Max was angry with Charlie, that much was clear by his black eyes whilst Kayla was enthused to find out Charlie had discovered another gift and kept banging on about how powerful Charlie really is.
When Max left the room it looked like Charlie was heartbroken, now her wolf was present she could most likely feel Max’s pain and that is why I made the effort to promise her that I would protect her. Kayla nods her head agreeing and we were both taken aback when Charlie announced she had a plan.
“She is going to come for me Alex, if she thinks she can make me her mate” she was pacing the room
I already knew that and with Charlie’s heat not far away, there was a very good chance she may end

Max’s POVI couldn’t believe my brother would try something so stupid and I was ready to kill him! As soon as I started filling the glass of water, I felt it. Max’s POV Agreeing to let her go was the biggest struggle I had ever faced, now she was marked it felt like I had more pressure to protect her, plus I had Ripper calling me all the names under the sun for letting her go. When she finally contacted us, we both breathed a sigh of relief and I felt him relax as much as I did. Charlie could not tell us where she was but she said she was safe and unharmed and with that she cut the mind link and there seemed to be no presence of her heat.
