Davina’s POV

We settled back down on the chairs after the submission ritual.

I had no idea how he was going to react when he hears about his beta. He is going to flip out. But I didn’t want him to ruin everything in a fit of anger and kill his beta right away, that might end up disastrous for Irena.

I wasn’t even sure that his beta was alpha evil’s spy in the first place.

“You’re scared” Jude’s voice interrupted my train of thought.

He wasn’t asking, he was trying to read the emotions on my face.

“I am” I said in a low voice.

If his own beta was working against him, goddess knows who else is not loyal to him, who else is going to betray him because they are trying to get to me through him.

“Of me?” he asked tightly.

I looked up at him and saw him dreading my answer.

I could tell how guilty he feels for everything he put me through.
