Jude’s POV

I was standing in front of the glass wall, gazing at the dark forest, gazing without actually seeing anything as I was still trying to register everything Davina just dropped on me like a bomb.

My mind was racing trying to understand how my own beta could have the nerve to work against me.

It’s true I never felt closer to him because he was very much older than me, I always confided in Ian first then went to him for advice later, he wasn’t the one I always went to for problems, but that doesn’t give him the right to work with my enemy to end me.

The servant James was understandable. He was a weak old man and he had family within that pack. Controlling him was very easy and guaranteed. But what was Robert’s reasons for doing this. Did he promise him my position?
