Chapter 50

Tracy's POV

I woke up in my room, lying in bed with a cup of tea on my bedside table. I reached over, placing my palm right above the cup's brim. It was still warm.

"Was it all a dream?" I said, maybe a little bit louder than I had imagined.

"No, it was not. I see you are up already". Huh, was someone else in here with me? I sat up abruptly to meet the warm eyes of the pack's healer. I had visited her just once to treat the injuries I had gotten from my stepdad's assault. He successfully convinced everyone that I had a mental illness, and had resulted in injuring myself.

Everyone believed him except for Ma'am Emily, the healer. She had even made up an excuse so I could stay longer under her care.

"Tracy... It's been ages since I last saw you," she said as she approached me, holding a glass of something that looked like medicine.

I don't blame Tracy for her decision to run with her baby after the way Alpha Kia has treated her. Alpha Kia has never showed her any kind of love or respect or protection of any kind. He knows she is his mate but won't admit it to himself or anyone else. SO LONG LOSSER
